With Mother’s Day, my childhood best friends’ baptism, her beautifully moving testimony, & spring bringing so much growth & renewal. Here’s some of my motherhood thoughts recently.

  • Slow moments are connection, comfort, and peace. It’s not laziness. Its presence & intention.
  • Nature is a spirit, heart, & soul healer. With the scrapes, the scratches, the heartaches, & the hard days, nature helps heal it all.
  • Letting go is part of the rhythm of life. The creeks, the clouds, & the trees all show us how to just let it go and give it to God in every season of life.
  • The deeper the water the more it reflects. Motherhood is messy, unpredictable, sometimes scary — but also full of awe & reverence. It has deepened my heart & soul. It has shown me to reflect on the important things in life.
  • The wild brings them closer to their Creator. When they marvel at mountains or chase butterflies, they’re touching the fingerprints of God. I want them to always see that the same God who made these mountains & oceans made them too. Every detail made perfectly.
  • Even in the shortcomings & exhaustion that motherhood can bring He fills the gaps. God gave you these beautiful little souls to nourish & cherish, that is a blessing.
  • One day they’ll outgrow the boots, the mud pies, the hand that reaches for yours. But today, you’re their safe place. These moments are fleeting, they are both the biggest they’ve ever been & the smallest they’ll ever be.
  • Enjoy it.

Anywho…. There’s my novel of a journal entry for the day
