Hey friend — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Kaylee Smith, hi!
I’m a born and raised Alaskan mountain-wandering mama raising my wild and wonderful kids in southeast Alaska. Life up here is full of whale sightings, muddy boots, late-night sun, and early-morning coffee — and I wouldn’t have it any other way (most days). We spend our days playing in the rain (lots and lots of rain), beach combing, foraging, and adventuring through the forests and beaches of our beautiful home.
Motherhood for me is equal parts chaos and grace. There are trails we hike with mud in our hair, purple huckleberry stained fingers, and extra snack breaks, and trails in my heart where He is still gently leading me through the unknown. Out here in the wild — where nature is raw and faith is real — I’m learning to let go of perfection and hold tight to purpose.
This space, Trail and Truth, is where I share the honest, unfiltered beauties of life:
The adventures that stretch us.
The messes that humble us.
And the faith that carries us through it all.
Whether you’re here for a dose of encouragement, outdoor inspiration, or just someone who gets the sacred, messy work of raising little souls — welcome. You’ve got a seat around my *virtual* campfire
